About SeaWorld San Diego
The company of SeaWorld was founded in 1964 by four college graduates of the University of California, Los Angeles. The original plan for the park was to design of the park was to create an underwater restaurant, but was later developed into a theme park. The SeaWorld San Diego, upon its opening, expanded about 22 acres and only had 45 employees and a handful of marine creatures. However, the park became extraordinarily popular very quickly and later branched out to create more SeaWorld locations.
The SeaWorld San Diego features many exhibits and animals. Some of the more popular animals include Killer Whales, Dolphins, Sea Lions, Sharks, and many more. Many of these animals include live shows you can attend to learn more about the creatures and their habitats. Some exhibits that the park also features are the Aquaria Touch Pool, Explorer’s Reef, Ocean Explorer Animals, and the Aquariums. Each of these exhibits allows the public to closely observe creatures in their habitats, and learn more about them. Several of these aquariums are located outdoors, making for an exciting and educational experience.
The SeaWorld San Diego also features educational programs as a highlight to visiting this theme park. Some of these programs include various sorts of day camps, overnight field trips for schools, and programs designed for teacher resources. These are all created to inspire students to become excited about learning more about marine biology, and to create a fun learning experience for anyone visiting.
